Our Story
Back in Adelaide in 1979, an Italian restaurant owner shouted “Fa sta pasta, Fa sta pasta!” to his chef on a busy Friday night. The chef quickly worked the dough and cut the pasta into ribbons of tagliatelle making the freshest pasta dish in the city.
You see, in Italian, fa means ‘make’ and sta means ‘this’. So, the Italian restaurant owner was actually shouting “make this pasta, make this pasta!”
From this conversation Fasta Pasta was born in Adelaide, making fast, fresh pasta dishes which went on to satisfy families across Australia for 40 years.
Our Food
At Fasta Pasta, we’re fanatical about fresh pasta– and have been since 1982.
We only use the finest quality 100% Australian durum wheat semolina, which gives our pasta its distinctive soft texture and tenderness. This allows our pasta to absorb the full flavour of our delicious sauces.
Our love of fresh food doesn’t stop there. Our menu includes a great range of Italian-inspired dishes, all made using fresh, tasty ingredients that are sure to satisfy even the fussiest eaters.
